Sales Manager (m/f/x) for the Netherlands

Your mission that helps to make the logistics industry more sustainable

As a Sales Manager (m/f/x) located in the Netherlands, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our sales team, with a primary focus on the Dutch market. While you will also be involved with key markets such as Belgium and selected areas in France, your main responsibility will be to drive success in the Netherlands. Your mission? To ensure that every semi-trailer is transported by rail, significantly contributing to a more sustainable future for logistics.
Here’s what you will do:

  • Acquire new customers and develop new business opportunities with international clients, primarily in the Netherlands, and additionally in Benelux and France, in alignment with annual and quarterly targets.
  • Identify and secure potential new customers from various industries to maximize the capacity utilization of our trains.
  • Continuously expand and support existing customer relationships.
  • Develop suitable solution concepts based on customer needs, create competitive offers including pricing, and conduct price negotiations.
  • Finalize contracts in close coordination with management.

You should have

  • Completed degree in economics with a focus on logistics and/or sales, or completed vocational training with relevant work experience in sales, preferably in transport & logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both precise and persuasive.
  • Demonstrable negotiation skills and the ability to conduct conversations effectively.
  • Strong customer orientation, open and communicative personality, as well as a good network in the public sector.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to intermodal transport concepts.
  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills; French is an advantage, and basic knowledge of German is nice to have.
  • Strong understanding of the Dutch market with relevant experience.
  • Willingness to undertake regular business trips within the Netherlands and the Benelux area, up to 50%.
  • Coordinate projects and tenders cross-functionally.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the relevant sales areas.
  • Translate customer requirements into company initiatives and drive product developments and adjustments.
  • Represent the company internationally.
